The Onyx Swirl (necklace)
This piece was made for my friend emiajville as a 21st birthday present. Earlier weeks ago, I subtly asked about her preference for accessories. She let me in, saying that she likes her accessories simple, in either black or white. Keeping in mind that she likes onyx and to make her something that will take her to work and even formal/ fancy dinners, I was well on my mission in sourcing the materials which includes black beads, yellow Swarovski crystals and a Oriental onyx pendant. I used gold findings for this piece, a nice complement to the black beads and pendant and it exudes elegance. It's best suited for crew and high necklines. It also complements low plunging necklines. Length: About 19 inches A gift for friend P/S: xoxo, Opus now does customisations! Just email to xoxo.opus@gmail.com with subject: Make it couture. Please include your budget for the piece, whether it's a necklace, bracelet, earrings, etc, your preferences (colour combinations, etc) for the materials. We'll work out something from there. :)

xoxo,Opus is back with a new collection! This collection is called "Seasons" and features a series of 4 charm bracelets. This is a one-off collection and there will be no remakes.

---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Spring FlingThe first sign of life sprouts through the blanket on snow competing for the warm touch of the sun, spring has sprung! This bracelet uses an assortment of beads of different shapes and shades of green, white and off-white. A four-leaf clover charm is added to the bracelet. According to tradition, a four leaf clover brings good luck to its finder, especially if chanced upon accidentally. Each leaflet symbolises something; first leaflet - hope, second leaflet - faith, third leaflet - love, and last not but least the fourth leaflet represents luck. Spring Fling will be a good gift brimming with well wishes for a friend. Closed with a silver plated baby toggle clasp. Additional four-leaf clover charms can be added at request at a small price!Length: 7 inchesPrice: $12 Summer LoveLove, fun in the sun, a refreshing shared drink of soda, walks on the beach and passionate kisses shared by a young couple in love on endless summer days. Fiery red, orange beads and irregular shaped Swarovski pearls were used for this piece. This piece is a token of love, a promise of eternal summer. Closed with a gold baby toggle clasp. Length: 7 inchesPrice: $14 Autumn GoodbyeThe green leaves on the trees turns red and falls silently on the ground while you take in the sights and reminisce about the summer love you once shared. Autumn brings a tinge of melancholy, with the chill of winter on the horizon. Memories can fade, but this bracelet captures the essence of autumn. This bracelet uses warm colours like brown, dark orange and off-white beads. A special fossil-like bead is used in this piece. Closed with a gold baby toggle clasp. Length: 7 inchesPrice: $14 Dark WinterAs the last maple leaf falls, winter sets in. The days become shorter and nights get longer. Winter is highly symbolic, some use winter to represent death while some use it to suggest the absence of hope as in C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, where it's always Winter and never Christmas. Colours used for this piece are black, gray and white. Closed with a silver-plated baby toggle clasp. Length: 7 inchesPrice:$12

Presenting to you... Children of the Week!
Monday's child is fair of face, Tuesday's child is full of grace, Wednesday's child is full of woe Thursday's child has far to go, Friday's child is loving and giving, Saturday's child works hard for its living, And a child that's born on the Sabbath day Is blithe and bonny and good and gay
Inspired by the poem, I've created 7 unique necklaces with a personality of their own.
"Monday's Child is fair of face" A simple bronze neckace strung with a bronze pendant with a fair lady and two bronze additional charms, a heart-shaped pendant with "Love" and "Amour" engraved on each side, and a key charm. Length of chain when placed flat: approx. 33cm

"Tuesday's child is full of grace" Frosted rose beads coupled with a gold butterfly charm and a dangling bronze marble bead, this is a simple and elegant necklace exuding grace. Length of chain when placed flat: approx. 34cm

"Wednesday's child is full of woe" A Wednesday's child is full of woe, and probably wouldn't care much for details other than fretting over worries. Length of chain when placed flat: 30.5cm Price: $10

"Friday's child is loving and giving" Friday's child features a heart with delicate engravings, as if values such as kindess and compassion are enclosed in a hoop of pearl-white and silver seed beads, completed with gold tassels and a purple jewel. Length of chain: cm

How it all started: A fascination with beautiful things handmade, sparked an interest to be the pair of hands that create beautiful things. It all started when my cousin made me a beautiful necklace (which I still have it with me!) and I was thrilled and wanted to make jewelleries of my own. Knowing me, my friends presented one of the best (& practical!) birthday presents ever - a basic jewellery-making kit! From then on, I made jewellery mostly for friends and personal use. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction when I see friends wearing what I made, so now, I'll like to share my pieces with everyone! :)
The name: Opus means 'work' in Latin, aptly representing the pieces I've made. And of course, XOXO means hugs and kisses. Put together, it means "hugs and kisses from Opus"!
Expect to see: Earrings, necklaces, bracelets and maybe even brooches in time to come. First collection titled "Children of the Week" coming soon.
About the creator: Child-woman who's holding tight to her rose-tinted beliefs. Find out more about her life here.
